17 Malaysia-Bound Rohingyas Held in Cox's Bazar

A team of coast guard on Tuesday night rescued 17 Malaysia-bound Rohingyas from human traffickers from Bahachara area of Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar.

Confirming the news, in-charge of Baharchara Police Outpost sub-inspector Liakat Ali, said on secret information, a team of law enforcers conducted the drive and arrested them from the area.

The human traffickers managed to escape the spot sensing the arrival of police, he said.

Liakat Ali said, ''The Rohingyas will be sent back to their respective refugee camps.''
