Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine struck a ton to see as the tourists reach 228 for six at the end of day one of the one-off Test against Bangladesh.

The left-hander played some brilliant shots to keep the Bangladesh bowlers at bay from one end before he was removed by Nayeem Hasan after a 227-ball 107.

Nayeem was the star of the show for the Tigers as he bagged 4 wickets bowling 36 overs for 68 runs. His spell contained some very good flighted deliveries while he kept the batsman guessing with his drifters.

Abu Jayed, who started proceedings brightly for the Tigers, finished with two for 51.

The second day's play will resume at 9:30pm on Sunday, February 23 at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first.
