Cabinet Okays Hajj Package-2020; Mini Cost Tk 3.15 Lakh

On Monday, the Cabinet approved the draft Hajj Package-2020, fixing the minimum cost for an expected pilgrim under Government package-3 at Tk 3.15 lakh.

Pilgrims will have to pay Tk 4.25 lakh to take advantage of package-1 and Tk 3.60 lakh under package-2 under government administration which is Tk 6500 and Tk 16,000 more than the previous year.

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam revealed this at the Secretariat's press briefing after the Cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheik Hasina in the chair at the Office of the Prime Minister.

A total of 1,37,198 citizens will go to Saudi Arabia this year to conduct hajj and 17,198 of them will go under government supervision while the remainder will go under private administration.
