Bangladesh Beat Zimbabwe by Record Margin

Opener Liton Das scored his second one-day international Century as Bangladesh smashed Zimbabwe by 169 runs in the first one-day international to take 1-0 lead in the three-match series in Sylhet, Bangladesh today.

Liton struck 126 off 105 balls to lead Bangladesh to 321-1 at Sylhet International Stadium before Mohammad Saifuddin claimed 3-22 to support the home side bowl out of Zimbabwe for 152 runs in 39.1 overs.

Captain cool Mashrafee bin Murtaza and spinner Mehedi Hasan also claimed two wickets each as Bangladesh recorded their biggest ever ODI win by 169 runs.

The second match of the series will be held at the same venue on Tuesday.
