Case Settled: Primary Schoolteachers Being Appointed in 32 Districts

Recruitment operations of Assistant Teachers in Government Primary Schools in 32 districts of the country have started after a case resolution.

Membership and nomination operations have been conducted in 20 jurisdictions. The mechanism is already ongoing in 12 jurisdictions. But the nomination procedure in the remaining 29 districts has been suspended as it has been banned by the High Court, according to a media study.

Sources at the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) said that the recruitment process for the appointment of Assistant Teachers in Government Primary Schools in 41 districts in the country had been halted following a court case.

Later, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education lodged an appeal with the High Court seeking cancelation of the stay order.

The selection cycle of candidates selected for promotion exams in 20 districts has also been completed.
