Star Cineplex to Close Today

All branches of Star Cineplex will stay closed from 20 March to 2 April 2020 due to the deadly coronavirus outbreaks.

The news was confirmed by Star Cineplex Senior Manager of Media and Marketing, Mesbah Uddin Ahmed.

Previously, the Star Cineplex officials ordered their staff members to wear masks and gloves. The representatives of the public were even requested to apply a hand sanitizer to the ticket counter.

It was declared on Monday that movie theaters across Bangladesh were going to lock-down from March 18 to April 2 in an attempt to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.

The decision to close the movie theaters came hours after the government declared on Monday that all educational institutions across the country will stay shut from 18 to 31 March, regarding the outbreak of coronavirus.
