Bangladeshi Woman Dies Of Coronavirus in New York

According to media reports, a Bangladeshi woman has died of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in New York, USA.

Details of the woman and her death have not yet been known.

Two Bangladeshis died in New York earlier on 19 March from COVID-19.

Both were living in Queens City Borough.

Two of the dead had stayed in Astoria in his 60s. He had many health problems, and despite being infected with coronavirus, he was receiving care at a Queens hospital.

The other suspect, a taxi driver, was 50 and resided in Woodside. His death was reported by NYPD official Khan Shawkat.

However, coronavirus or Covid-19's global death toll exceeded 16,510 as of Tuesday— a 14 percent mortality rate. By now, according to worldometer, the virus has affected 378,842 people worldwide.

Of them, 260,268 are currently being treated with 12,062 in serious or critical condition. So far, 118,574 cases had outcomes and of them, 102,064 (86 percent) recovered.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh announced its third death from coronavirus and six new cases, raising patient numbers to 33 in the region.
