Mother Stabbed to Death by 'Drug Addict' Son

A woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her drug addict son at Mirhazarirbg in Jatrabari on Friday night .

The deceased was identified as Suria Begum, 45.

Police arrested Suria’s son Sajib Hossain, 20, in connection with the incident, said Inspector Md Baccu Miah, incharge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.

Quoting locals, he said  Sajib stabbed his mother as she denied to give him money for buying drugs,  leaving her injured.

The injured was taken to DMCH around 11:30pm where doctors declared her dead, said the DMCH police.
