Govt Sets Office Hours for Ramadan

The government has set office hours for the coming Holy month of Ramadan from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous institutions.

The decision was taken at a regular Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sheik Hasina, in Ganabhaban on Monday, says a press release. 

The holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on April 24 or April 25 on the basis of the sighting of the moon. The time of the workplace is currently from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.       

As per the new schedule, there will be a 15-minute pause from 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for Zohr prayer.
