Stop Creating Confusion, Stand by People: Quader to Fakhrul

On Saturday, Awami League Secretary-General Obaidul Quader urged BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to remain alongside the people, rather than creating confusion during this coronavirus pandemic.

Quader made the comment while briefing journalists from his Dhaka residence.

Referring to the suggestion of Fakhrul to create a task force, Quader said it is the "political propaganda" of the BNP leader. "What he intended by creating a task force is not obvious," said the leader of the ruling party.

Quader hoped it will be possible for the nation to resolve the crisis, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheik Hasina.

He urged everyone to follow the directives of World Health Organization and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Recognizing that there has been corruption over relief distribution, Quader said the government has taken action against corrupt people, who are involved in this.

Bangladesh has so far reported 84 deaths and 2,144 coronavirus cases.
