Actor Helal Khan's Father Dies of COVID-19 in USA

Father of national award-winning film actor and producer Helal Khan died of coronavirus in the USA on Sunday.

Maulana Abdun Nur Khan breathed his last at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in Long Island of USA at around 11:00 am (Bangladesh time) while undergoing treatment.

Ashraf Hossain, joint general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS), confirmed the news.

Earlier, Khan, general secretary of BNP's affiliate JASAS, posted a status on his Facebook page saying that his father, brother and sister-in-law have tested positive for COVID-19.

Helal Khan in his status wrote: ''My father Maulana Abdun Nur Khan is undergoing treatment at ICU of a hospital in the USA with coronavirus infection. My younger brother Mahbub Khan and his wife Nasrin Munni also sick. But they are recovering well from the virus infection''.
