Writ Filed Challenging Transport Fare Hike

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court challenging the 60 percent fare hike of public transports in the country amid ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The petition was filed by Supreme Court Lawyer Humayun Kabir Pallab on Monday.
The defendants in the writ petition are the secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges (Road Transport and Highways Division), the chairman of the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and other concerned authorities.
