Former Health Minister Nasim Suffers Stroke

The health condition of former health and family welfare minister Mohammed Nasim, hospitalized with COVID-19 infection, has deteriorated as he suffered a stroke on Friday morning.

Doctors at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital are conducting surgery on him till filing of this report at 11:20 am.

Nasim, also a presidium member of the ruling Awami League, was admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital with fever and breathing problems on Monday.

Bangladesh Specialised Hospital authorities collected a sample of Nasim for the COVID-19 test for the second time and it found positive on Monday.

Nasim was given plasma therapy on Tuesday.

The 74-year-old politician had been suffering from different health complications, including high diabetes.
