5 Laborers Missing As Boat Sinks in Padma

Five laborers went missing as a boat sank in the Padma river at the Shaitankhali ghat area in Sadarpur of Faridpur on Friday noon.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.
Local people said a boat carrying 26 passengers capsized in the middle of the river this noon.
All but the five laborers managed to swim ashore.
The victims met the tragic accident while going to various chars for harvesting crops, said UNO of Sadarpur Purabi Goldar.
On information, the divers from Lalpur Fire Service Station went to the spot for carrying out salvage operation.
