Rupali Bank’s Former Manager Denied Bail

On Tuesday, the High Court declined to give bail to Md Farid Uddin, former director of the Altafnagar Branch of Bogura Rupali Bank, in a corruption case lodged against the misappropriation of Tk 2.64 million.

The High Court of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder issued the order after conducting a virtual hearing on a bail petition filed by Farid Uddin.

According to the case documents, Mr. Farid Uddin misappropriated the amount from the Altafnagar Branch of Bogura Rupali Bank when he was the Branch Manager from July 16, 2007 to April 28, 2010 by misappropriating control, producing false microcredit loan documents and issuing loans outside his jurisdiction.
