'Very Little Risk' That Pets Can Infect Owners with COVID, WHO Says

There is 'very little risk' that pets that infect their owners with Covid-19, said the Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday.

Soumya Swaminathan, The chief scientist, told the Geneva news conference that felines, ferrets and "even tigers" have become infected with the disease, Reuters reports.

"There is very little danger from domestic animals as there was some concern that domestic animals becoming a source of infection," she said.
