Covid-19: More 42 death; 3,114 New Cases in 24 hours

The Health Directorate reported 42 new deaths from the novel coronavirus and 3,114 fresh cases of infection testing 14,650 samples in 24 hours until Friday 8 a.m.

As a result, the death rate of the lethal virus rose to 1,968 and the total number of infections reached 156,391.

The Additional Director General of the Health Directorate Professot Dr Nasima Sultana made the information available today during a virtual briefing.

The virus has killed 524,406 people worldwide and has infected 11,001,023 people so far.
