The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (Caab) has suspended all international flights except Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Turkey. The suspension will be effective from tomorrow (July 7).

The ban on international passenger flights has been extended until further notice, Caab sources said.

But special flights, air ambulance, emergency landing flights and cargo flights will remain out of the purview of the ban, it said.

On March 15, the country suspended on-arrival visas for all countries for two weeks.

The suspension was extended several times.

Bangladesh on Monday reported the detection of 3201 new coronavirus cases and 44 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The country’s confirmed cases now stand at 1,65,618 and of them, 2096 have died.
