COVID-19: Global Death Toll Climbs to 642,751

The novel coronavirus has killed 642,751 people in 213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in China's Wuhan last December, according to the latest data from the worldometer.

Thus far, 15,941,806 people globally tested positive for coronavirus at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday (Bangladesh Time). Among all, 9,724,289 people received a complete recovery.

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 5,574,766, the source said.

With fresh deaths, cases and recovery around 24 hours, 6,272 individuals died of cronavirus, while 287,157 cases were diagnosed and 188,648 patients were believed to have been recovered.

Among other coronavirus affected countries, the US has gone up to 148,490 deaths, followed by Brazil with 85,385, UK 45,677, Mexico 42,645, Italy 35,097, France 30,192, India 31,406, Spain 28,432, Iran 15,289, Russia 13,046, China 4,634, Indonesia 4,665, Saudi Arabia 2,672 and Australia 145 respectively, according to worldometer.
