2 Killed As Pick-Up Collides with Covered Van in Dhamrai

Two people, including a pedestrian woman, were killed in the Dautia area of Dhamrai, on the outskirts of Dhaka, on Sunday morning.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

Quoting locals, KM Mehedi, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Savar Highway Police Station, said Nabinagar-bound vegetable laden pick-up bus collided with a covered vehicle coming from the opposite direction on the Dhaka-Aricha highway, leaving the woman dead on the spot and the pick-up truck driver wounded.

Later, locals took him to Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared him dead, he said.
