Global COVID-19 Death Toll Reaches 877,438

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, the global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 877,438 on Sunday morning.

In addition, 26,748,637 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed worldwide.

Although cases of new infection are still on the rise among the infected world population, most of them are in mild conditions.

Of the currently 7,016,312 infected patients, 6,955,593 are in a moderate condition of 99 percent, according to Worldometer's daily reports.

On the other hand, 60,719 of the patients actually infected are in critical condition and their number is just one.

So far, 17,840,227 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 35 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours on Saturday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4,447.

In addition, the number of infections has risen to 323,565, with 1,950 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours.
