BD Computer Council Receives ‘World Summit on Information Society Award’

The ICT Division's Bangladesh Computer Council has won the "World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) Award-2020" one of the world's most prestigious awards in the field of information technology.   

Bangladesh became the final winner to beat other candidates in the category of e-employment-Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Israel.

The Bangladesh National Digital Architecture (BNDA) team of the BGD e-GOV CIRT Capacity Building Project under BCC in the e-Employment category achieved the award.

Haolin Zhao, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) announced winner name at the "WSIS Forum 2020 Prizes Awards Ceremony" held virtually on Monday.

Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak congratulates the Bangladesh Computer Council for archiving this achievement.

“This award of the United Nations will inspire everyone to take more successful initiatives in the future,” he said.
