The Inter-Education Board Coordination Subcommittee has finalized a guideline for private colleges by fixing the highest ceilings of the HSC admission in a bid to rein in brisk business by the institutes charging exorbitant fees.

The highest ceiling fixed for the colleges of Dhaka Metropolitan areas is Tk 5,000, the metropolitan areas outside Dhaka is Tk 3,000, Tk 2,000 for the colleges in District Sadar, and Tk 1,000 for colleges in Upazila areas including session fees.

The Inter-Education Board on Monday issued a notification informing that colleges must publish the lists of the admissible students in their respective notice board and website.

The board committee asked the educational institutions to follow the guideline properly.

Inter-Education Board Coordination sub-committee informed that students will be admitted into colleges from September 13 to 17 after completing all procedures.
