Explosion Could Have Been Avoided: N'ganj DC

Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jasim Uddin said a timely step could suffice to fend off Narayanganj explosion.

He made the statement as he visited burn victims at the hospital Tuesday.

''We have sent letters to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd, Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd and Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha to take preventive measures. Letters are also issued to president and secretary to mosque committees to be alert.''
