Permission Needed before Filing Lawsuit against Govt Officials

Permission from the government must be taken before any lawsuit is filed against any government official while discharging of duties.

On Tuesday, the Cabinet Division sent a letter in this regard to the Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

The letter asked that the necessary steps be taken to ensure that the rules and regulations contained in the various laws in this regard are complied with.

Government officials are also prohibited from speaking to the media without permission.
