The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will not hold an income tax fair this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A senior official of the income tax division of NBR said that in principle there is a decision in this regard but official order has not been issued yet.
With a view to facilitating individual taxpayers, the NBR usually holds the week-long tax fair in November ahead of the Tax Day that falls on November 30.
Instead of the tax fair, officials say, the NBR will observe a tax week for the taxpayers' return submission.
