DNCC Drive against Illegal Billboards, Banners from Sept 15

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will launch a drive against illegal billboards, signboards, banners and festoons in the capital from 15 September.

DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam said it at a virtual meeting on Friday morning, reports UNB.

Many business institutes are using billboards, signboards and banners illegally while many shops are using several signboards after taking permission for only one, the Mayor said. 

Unauthorised billboards and signboards are hindering the beauty of the city and are also repressing the DNCC from earning revenue, he said.

He also urged all to support the DNCC's billboards, banners and festoons within 14 September.
