Man Hacks 3 to Death in Narsingdi

A man allegedly hacked three people, including his wife and house owner, to death over a family feud in Shibpur Upazila of Narsingdi on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Nazma Begum, wife of Badal Mia, Monwara Begum and house owner Tajul Islam.

Police arrested killer Badal Mia, husband of Nazma Begum, immediately after the incident in this connection.

Quoting locals, police said, Badal Mia locked in an altercation with his wife Nazma over a trifling matter early Sunday. At one stage, Badal hacked his wife indiscriminately with a sharp weapon at 4:30 am.

Later, Monwara and Tajul Islam came to the spot to save Nazma after hearing her screams. At one point, Badal stabbed them, leaving them critically injured.

Locals took the injured to a hospital where a duty doctor declared two of them dead and another succumbed to her injuries on the way to Dhaka.
