Global COVID-19 Deaths Reach 1,071,399

According to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, the global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,071,399 as of Sunday morning.

In addition, around the world, 37,087,467 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

In its daily updates, Worldometer reports that 8,201,141 of the 8,269,752 patients actually infected are in mild condition, which is 99 percent.

68,611 of the already infected patients, on the other hand, are in critical condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 25,762,444 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 23 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Saturday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,500.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 3,77,073 as 1,203 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
