2 Additional Attorney Generals Resign

Two additional Attorney Generals (AG) have resigned from their posts showing personal causes.

The two AG’s are Murad Reza and Md Momtaz Uddin Fakir. Both of them submitted their respective resignation letters to the solicitor office.

At 10:30 am on Sunday (October 11) advocate Murad Reza resigned from the post of Additional Attorney General 

“I have sent my resignation letter to the President through the Law Ministry,” he said.

When asked about his resignation, Murad Reza could not leave any comment on the issue.

Earlier in the day, Advocate Momtaz Uddin Fakir resigned from the post of Additional Attorney General, showing his personal cause.

Earlier on Thursday, AM Amin Uddin, a senior lawyer at the Supreme Court and president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, was appointed as the country's new attorney general.

The post of Attorney General was vacant after the death of Attorney General Mahbubey Alam on 27 September.
