2 killed in Cox’s Bazar Road Crash

At least two people were killed and 15 others injured as a picnic bus hit with roadside electric pillar of Sadar Upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Md Murad, 18 and Kala Mia, 60.

The accident occurred near Hudaibari Government Primary School in Eidgah Wahedpara area at 6:00 am.

The Cox's Bazar-bound Noakhali's 'Nilachal Paribahan' picnic bus carrying 40 passengers lost control and hit the electric pillar on the roadside, leaving two bus passengers dead on the spot and 15 passengers injured, said Shamim-Al-Mamun, sub-inspector of the Eidgah Police Outpost.

The injured were admitted to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital immediately after the accident, he said.
