Cabinet Approves Draft Law on Death Penalty for Rapists

In principle, the cabinet has approved the draft Women & Children Repression Prevention Act that retains the death penalty provision for rapists.

The decision came in the midst of protests against the country's rising cases of rape, sexual abuse and violence against women.
