COVID-19: Global Death Toll Reaches 1,075,779

According to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,075,779 as of Monday morning.

In addition, around the world, 37,396,254 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

In its daily updates, Worldometer reports that 8,248,552 of the 8,317,288 patients actually infected are in mild condition, which is 99 percent.

On the other hand, 68,736 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 25,996,264 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, during the last 24 hours as of Sunday, 24 more Covid-19 patients died, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 5,524.

In addition, the infection tally has risen to 378,266 as 1,193 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
