COVID-19: Global Death Toll Reaches 1,085,015

According to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,085,015 as of Wednesday morning.

In addition, around the world, 38,046,018 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

In its daily updates, Worldometer reports that 8,346,540 of the 8,416,503 patients actually infected are in mild condition, which is 99 percent.

69,963 of the currently infected patients, on the other hand, are in serious condition, and their percentage is just one.

26,389,846 people have recovered so far.

In Bangladesh, as of Tuesday, 22 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,577.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged 3,81,275 as 1,537 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
