India's Coronavirus Infections Rise to 7.24 Million

India's coronavirus infection tally increased by 63,509 in the last 24 hours to 7.24 million on Wednesday, data from the health ministry showed.
Deaths from infections with COVID-19 increased by 730 to 110,586, the ministry said, reports Reuters.
On Sunday, India crossed the 7 million mark, adding a million cases in just 13 days. After the United States, where the figure is reaching 8 million, it has the world's second-highest tally.
