Electoral Code Violation: EC Sues MP Nixon

Election Commission (EC) has filed a case against independent lawmaker of Faridpur-4 constituency Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury alias Nixon on charges of violating the electoral code of conduct.

Faridpur district election officer Nawabul Islam filed the case with Charbhadrasan police station on Thursday morning.

Earlier on Wednesday, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said the Election Commission (EC) has decided to lodge a case against Nixon.

Meanwhile, the EC has formed a 3-member committee to further investigate the violation of the electoral code of conduct.
