World COVID-19 Deaths Reach 1,097,189

According to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,097,189 as of Friday morning.

In addition, around the world, 38,835,622 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

In its daily updates, Worldometer reports that 8,617,940 of the 8,688,838 patients actually infected are in mild condition, which is 99 percent.

On the other hand, of the currently infected patients, 70,898 are in critical condition, and there is just one percentage.

So far, 26,810,916 people have recovered.

As of Thursday, 15 more Covid-19 patients died in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 5,608.

Moreover, the tally of infections has risen by 384,559, as 1,600 new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
