2,500 Illegal Gas Lines Disconnected in Gazipur

A mobile court of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited fined 6 people Tk 1.5 lakh for using illegal gas lines at Ansar More area under Sreepur Upazila in Gazipur.
The court led by Gazipur Executive Magistrate Nilima Raihan conducted the drive at Ansar More area from Thursday morning to 8 pm and disconnected 2,500 illegal residential gas connections of 1,000 houses.
For using illegal gas, Titas fined Ariful Islam Tk 20 thousand, Moushumi Tk 20 thousand, Khursheda Tk 25 thousand, Sabina Yasmin Tk 15 thousand, Rakib Miah Tk 5 thousand and Jasim Uddin Tk 20 thousand respectively, said Suruz Alam, manager of Gazipur Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited.
