Islamic Scholar Golam Sarwar Sayedee Passes Away

Eminent Islamic scholar (alem) and pir of Araibari Darbar Sharif in Kosba upazila of Brahmanbaria Golam Sarwar Sayedee passed away at a hospital in the capital on Saturday.

Sayedee, who was also Araibari Islamia Sayeedia Alia Madrasah's principal, breathed his last while receiving treatment at about 4:15 am.

After his namaj-e-janaja, he will be buried in his family graveyard, to be held on the premises of Araibari Darbar Sharif after Asr prayer, said Kosba Upazila Mayor Emran Uddin Jewel.

Because of the death of Golam Sarwar Sayedee, Law Minister Anisul Haq expressed deep shock and sorrow.

In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
