Global Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 1,379,463

According to the Johns Hopkins University Centre for System Science and Engineering, the global tally of deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,379,463 as of Sunday morning.

In addition, around the world, 58,035,296 Covid-19 cases have been reported.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the 16,637,043 patients currently infected, 16,534,647 are in mild condition, which is 99 percent, as reported by Worldometer in its daily updates.

On the other hand, of the actually infected patients, 102,396 are in critical condition, and there is just one percent.

So far, 37,167,134 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 28 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Saturday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,350.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 445,281 as 1,848 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
