Bangladeshi Student Killed in Germany Road Crash

On Friday night, a Bangladeshi student was killed in a road accident in Germany.

The incident took place in Halley, Sazen Anhalt province in the country about 10.45 p.m. local time.   

The deceased was identified as Sifatul Islam Sifat, 25, from Basabo Sabujbagh in Dhaka.

He was a student at the Department of Renewable Energy at the University of Applied Sciences in Nordhausen.

The process to send his body to Dhaka is underway. 

The University of Applied Sciences Nordhausen is located in Nordhausen, Thuringia, Germany. Established in 1997 after the reunification of Germany, as of 2012, the Fachhochschule has 2,461 students enrolled and 45 professors enrolled.
