10 to Die, 5 Get Life Term for Killing a Ctg UP Chairman

A Chattogram court sentenced 10 accused to death and five to life imprisonment for murdering former chairman of the Satkania Sonakania Union Parishad, Amjad Hossain, 21 years ago.
On 3 October 1999, Amjad Hossain was shot dead in front of Mirzakhil Darbar Sharif mosque in Satkania, reports media.
His wife, Chaida Syeda Raushan Akhter, filed a murder case against 20 people at Satkania Police Station the following day.
Police filed the chargesheet on 22 December in 2000.
