World Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 1,866,375

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,866,375 as of Wednesday morning.

In addition, around the world, 86,356,854 Covid-19 cases have been reported.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.  

Among the currently 23,410,830 infected patients 23,302,840 are in mild condition, which is 99.5 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 107,990 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.5.

So far, 48,406,358 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 20 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Tuesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,670.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 517,920 as 991 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
