The Government has directed the authorities concerned to complete the process of admission of government primary schools by February.
The Department also asked the schools not to take an admission test for a pre-primary student in class V.
It also stated that it should be ensured that all students in the catchment area are admitted to government primary schools from pre-primary to class one.
The names, addresses and necessary information of the students must be written in the registration form for admission to the respective class.

Sick teachers, students, staff and pregnant teachers should be prevented from attending school, he said.
It also said that students who have been left out of school due to the closure of private kindergartens over Covid-19 will have to be admitted to the respective clusters.
