World Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 1,895,925

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,895,925 as of Friday morning.

In addition, around the world, 87,941,154 Covid-19 cases have been reported.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 22,977,023 infected patients 22,868,731 are in mild condition, which is 99.5 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 108,292 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.5.

So far, 49,037,774 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 31 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,718.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 519,905 as 1,007 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
