COVID-19: BD Logs More 16 Deaths; New Cases 785

Bangladesh logged 16 more deaths from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours till Friday 8am.

The country's death toll from the virus now stands at 7,734, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the last 24 hours, 785 people tested positive for Covid-19, taking the number of novel coronavirus cases in the country to5,20,690.

The latest day's infection rate was 5.74% of the total tests. The overall infection rate in the country to date was 15.63%. The death rate currently stands at 1.49%.
