World Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 1,943,024

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,943,024 as of Tuesday morning.

In addition, around the world, 90,839,382 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 24,077,735 infected patients 23,968,978 are in mild condition, which is 99.5 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 108,757 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.5.

So far, 50,229,673 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 22 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,803.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 523,302 as 849 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
