Lady Gaga to Sing National Anthem at Biden’s Inauguration

Lady Gaga will sing the national anthem at the inauguration of Joe Biden, and Jennifer Lopez will perform on the U.S. West Front. Capitol when he's sworn in as the nation's 46th president next Wednesday.

The announcement of their participation comes one day after the word that Tom Hanks will host a 90-minute prime time TV special to celebrate Mr. Biden's inauguration. Other actors include Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato and Ant Clemons, reports AP.

Rev. Leo O'Donovan, former president of Georgetown University, will make an invocation at the swearing-in ceremony, and Andrea Hall, a Georgian firefighter, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

There will be a poetry reading from Amanda Gorman, the first national youth poet laureate, and the benediction will be given by Rev. Silvester Beaman of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
