Seven College Exams Will Continue

The ongoing examinations of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University (DU) will be held, the Ministry of Education said.

MA Khair, public relations officer of the education ministry, said this on Wednesday (February 24).

He said on Wednesday (February 24) with the principals of seven colleges, the Minister of Education. This decision was taken at the meeting of Dipu Moni.

Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education was present at the online meeting. Mahbub Hossain, VC of Dhaka University, Pro-VC, Principal of seven colleges including the coordinator of seven colleges affiliated to Dhaka University.

On Tuesday (February 23), it was decided to stop the ongoing examinations of seven colleges. The education minister announced at a press briefing on Monday (February 22nd) that the next 16 universities would be reopened. Tests must be stopped by this time. The decision will be equally applicable to all universities, he said.

After that, on Tuesday (February 23) evening, Dhaka University held a meeting with the principals of seven colleges and postponed the ongoing examination till May 16. After that, the students started a road blockade movement in Nilkhet demanding to continue the examination from the night.
