The nationwide seven-day lockdown, imposed to restrict the rising trend of coronavirus cases, is rolling half-heartedly for the second day without any strict restrictions.

A huge number of vehicles only without public buses have been seen on the roads since morning, reports media.

People also gathered in tea stalls, small hotels along with restaurants without any hygiene rules.

However, like yesterday, many office-goers were not seen on the streets waiting for a bus as they are using a rickshaw and CNG-run auto-rickshaw for going to the office.

Tanisha Khan, whose office is in Kawran Bazar told media over phone that she did not go to the bus stand like yesterday, adding, "I took a rickshaw from home and went straight to Kawran Bazar."

"Many of my other colleagues have come that way and those who live close are coming on foot," she said.

The presence of police to monitor lockdown and hygiene on the streets is very low.

Meanwhile, Motijheel police check post has been set up to control excess passengers on motorcycles.
